View Now
|
The Sustainability Consortium is an independent organization of diverse global participants, including Walmart, who work collaboratively to build a scientific foundation that drives innovation to improve consumer product sustainability through all stages of a product's life cycle. They have developed transparent methodologies, tools and strategies to drive a new generation of products and supply networks that address environmental, social and economic imperatives. Wrigley, being a recognized leader in confections with a wide range of product offerings, has joined up with the Sustainability Consortium to create a new era of innovation.
Join CGT for this exclusive Web seminar featuring the Sustainability Consortium's Greg Lewis, who will explain the methodology behind best practices in Sustainability as well as detail how they have partnered with industry leaders to collaborate successfully. Wrigley's Senior Principal Sustainability, Richard Ammendola, will explore the needs for a comprehensive ecodesign solution throughout the entire product development life-cycle.
Selerant's CTO, Jacopo Colombo, will provide an overview of an ecodesign software solution that provides actionable results that can be easily understood by those who are not experts in Sustainability.

Cereal Partners Worldwide Leverages PLM for Recipe Innovation Success
As one of the world's largest and most prestigious manufacturers, Cereal Partners Worldwide (CPW), pioneers innovation processes and methodology. CPW was formed in 1990 as a joint venture between Nestlé and General Mills. CPW's formula database contains many past successes and its R&D team looks to add far more for the future. Its past system could not fulfill requirements and CPW needed to find a solution that would let them leverage this database as well as quickly expedite the formulations and recipes to market.
This webinar will feature CPW Systems Project Manager, Stela Prodanovic, who will focus on how CPW determined its needs for a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solution, and how it now expedites development through recipe management for a global development team. Attendees will also learn:
-
How to create multi-stage recipes (hierarchies that can be expanded and collapsed)
-
How to utilize recipe templates
-
How to customize recipe approval workflow
-
Global collaboration, including service support and language standardization
Gartner's Vice President of Research, Marc Halpern, will also be on hand to explore what companies need to know before investing and implementing a PLM solution. This will include the biggest pain points facing the industry and, the Do's and Don'ts of implementation, and best practices learned from top the performers in the industry.
Selerant's North America COO, Sunil Thomas, will present a broad overview of the latest trends in CPG and how top performers in the industry address them through PLM solutions.

Innovation in Sustainability Featuring Nestlé
Nestlé, the World's leading Nutrition, Health and Wellness company, is determined to systematically assess the environmental performance of its products. Life cycle assessment (LCA) is the most widely accepted scientific methodology to that aim, and has been selected by Nestlé to assess the environmental impacts of every life cycle stage of its products. While comprehensive LCA is a complex, time-consuming, and costly process, simplified ecodesign tools better suit the short innovation and renovation cycle in the food sector. Ecodesign tools based on the LCA methodology assess the environmental performance of agricultural raw materials, product manufacturing, packaging, distribution, consumption and end-of-life.
By aligning with relevant ISO norms and international business initiatives for LCA guidance, credibility in the results of ecodesign tools is increased, simplifying communication to business partners, and ultimately consumers.
