Product Data Management

Product Requirements and Specifcations

Control from Concept to Commercialization

DevEX’s Product Data Management empowers corporations to dictate what they want in a product and then carefully track each version with a clear snapshot of every product, down to the granular level.

This elevates visibility, allowing team members to see a distinct progression of each product—from the original product requirements through to the finished product specifications.

As each product is made up of materials, corporations can control the materials themselves.  How they are created, what fields are defined, and what they are called (for culturally-sensitive regions as well as proprietary formulas).

Each company accepts that changes will undoubtedly happen with every product launch, but now DevEX allows them to take control of the changes. Corporate-defined configurations at implementation enable the corporation to have a completely individualized approach to change—from the reporting structure to how they are approved.

In addition to defining changes, companies can make global changes for specifications, such as changing one ingredient for another (and also specifying a specific amount of the ingredient to be substituted—by % or actual amount).  As each change is made, a new version of the specification is made, escalated through an approval process, and then activated, capturing the snapshot of the product.

Changes factor into only part of the equation.  Nearing the end of every product launch are the critical details that define the commercialization processes.  These complexities define the success of the launch as they finalize the face of the product—from the Bill of Materials, to the labeling and complete manufacturing instructions for each region where the product will be produced.

DevEX enables each corporation to configure and generate these final product specifications, and equally as integral, track every change afterwards—including during manufacturing and beyond, elevating visibility, auditing, and tracking.
