We’re looking for a high-energy driven, BUSINESS DEVELOPER: a mother-tongue German speaking, either with a Business background in food/process manufacturing industry, specifically on the Innovation, R&D, Quality management areas or in selling enterprise IT projects. Good selling and networking skills. Capability to establish “C” level relationships.

Candidate should be specialized in sales leadership and management, business and partner development, and client relationship management at the executive level.

Major Areas of Responsibility

  • Acquire in depth knowledge of our software and solutions
  • Conduct prospecting and lead follow up from telesales led activities
  • Deliver corporate presentations
  • Qualify and manage opportunities including writing proposals and responding to tenders
  • Monitor and report on all activities and pipelines
  • Work with marketing and demand generation team to execute campaigns to attract potential leads, qualifying and nurturing the leads to mature opportunities
  • Follow up the sales opportunities and maintain close communication with customer’s c-level people and drive internal resources to close the deals
  • Manage customer requirements and expectations and ensure customer engagement success.
  • Create ad hoc business cases for each prospect
  • Collaborate with the sales team to acquire new international customers and service engagements

Competencies Required

  • Minimum 3+ years in business development for large-scale, multi-departmental and multi-national enterprise software solutions

  • Strong skills to deliver customer presentations aimed at aligning technical solutions with business value

  • PLM or ERP sales experience with SAP, Oracle, INFOR, Siemens or other major Enterprise Software Package is a plus.
  • Experience in the process manufacturing industry Food and beverages Retail and Distribution will be a welcomed plus

Education Expertise

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in scientific field or in degree in Computer Science is preferred.
  • German mother-tongue
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.

Software Sales Executive

Selerant Corporation is a leading global provider of formula-based enterprise Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Product Portfolio Management (PPM) solutions based in New York City. Due to expansion, we seek a Software Sales Executive residing in the Northeast U.S—preferably in the New York/New Jersey area. Your focus will be on selling the Selerant DevEX suite of PLM and PPM applications to the food and beverage, specialty chemical and personal care markets. Your duties will include prospecting, opportunity development, proposal management, presentation/demonstrations, negotiation, closing and business expansion. Regular communication with management and team members on the status of sales opportunities, support requirements and sales strategy will be a necessary and key factor to your success.

This exceptional career sales opportunity requires the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 -10 years’ sales experience in an enterprise software sales environment.
  • Experience with the sale of high-value, complex manufacturing software solutions focused on PLM, PPM, Regulatory Management, ERP or EHS business process tools.
  • Prior selling experience to CPG, Pharma, Food &Beverage, Cosmetic or chemical industries preferred
  • Strong track record of over-achievement of $2 million plus in annual quotas.
